Welcome back. Todays picture is of a green sea turtle that is just going back into the ocean. It is not uncommon to find green turtles in Hawaii where this picture was taken to haul out on the beach during the day to take a nap.

Sorry for the long absence. I have been in Hawaii working on the final footage that I needed to finally get the short 21 minute film that I have been working on shot.I have a deadline that I have to meet to get this finished by so that I can submit it to The International Wildlife Film Festival.

This shot is of Dr Ttodd Jones and I as we were sitting on the beach chatting and looking at these young Green Sea Turtles that had crawled out to lay in the sun.

I was patiently waiting for it to raise its head to take a breath. My intent was to get some close up pictures of its face.Sitting there foe about an hour it finally raised its head and looked directly at the camera.
